Samragngi Roy is a twenty-four-year-old author and poet. She has worked as an English coach and a writing coach for six years, offering English Language and Literature classes to ICSE and ISC students. Her debut novel, a work of Young Adult fiction, was published in 2017.
After graduating from St Joseph’s Convent, Chandannagar, Samragngi completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English Literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Her primary research interests include Popular Culture, Anime and Manga, South Korean Popular Literature and Media, Gothic Literature, Feminist Theory, Queer Studies, Dalit Literature, Disability Studies, and South East Asian Literature. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli.
