Kamna Prasad
Kamna Prasad is a cultural curator, media producer, writer, editor and translator committed to promoting India’s composite cultural heritage, particularly the literary traditions of Urdu. She founded the Jashn-e-Bahar Trust, dedicated to celebrating and nurturing Urdu literature in contemporary India. She has produced and co-written acclaimed documentaries and television series on literature, culture and the arts, including the thirteen-part docudrama series Dastan-e-Urdu for Doordarshan. She has authored and edited several books and translated selections of Urdu poetry, and has received several awards in India and abroad for her contributions to language, literature and culture.
