Madhu Tandan

Madhu Tandan lived for seven years in a remote Himalayan monastery where every experience was viewed as an opportunity  to grow. Her life there, threaded by her dreams, inspired her first book, Faith & Fire: A Way Within (1997). She has since written two more, Dreams & Beyond: Finding Your Way in the Dark (2009) and Hemis: A Novel (2018), to wide acclaim.

Madhu has conducted dream workshops, written articles on dreams and contributed short stories to anthologies. She has presented papers on religious dreaming at international conferences, including the Nouvelle Sorbonne in Paris, and Wasan Island in Canada. She was awarded a writing fellowship at Hawthornden Castle, Edinburgh.

Her husband and she live in the hills of Sattal with the birds and butterflies.
