Sardar Sir Jogendra Singh

Sardar Sir Jogendra Singh (1877–1946) was a scholar and statesman. He was a member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council in India and served as Chairman of the Department of Health, Education and Lands. His The Persian Mystics, published by John Murray, London, in October 1939, is a rendering into English of the sayings of the mystic Abdullah Ansari of Herat. Singh was knighted in 1929 and co-founded the Khalsa National Party in 1936.
